Nikola Tesla, Science Show For Schools And Inspiring Students To Read

I am delighted to introduce a new science assembly show for schools this year.
“The Hair-Raising Science Show” introduces younger students to electricity and magnetism while reinforcing concepts the older students are studying. Using equipment that most teachers do not have access to, I am able to offer some remarkable and memorable experiments to get students excited about science.
Audience participation and the use of multiple volunteers makes the show engaging and interactive. Students watch intently, not wanting to miss what might happen next.
A Wimhurst machine generates lightening to ring Franklin’s Bells. A Van De Graaf generator causes objects to float and hair to stand up.
And there is a tribute to Nikola Tesla. Tesla’s inventions and contributions to society are discussed and a demonstration of his Tesla Coil creates quite a memory for the students as they learn about voltage and amperage.
Like all my shows, The Hair-raising Science Show encourages students to read. I always let the students know that everything I do, I learned at the library. Librarians always report a flood of requests for students asking for science books.
I am currently scheduling shows for the 2015-2016 school year and the 2016-2017 school year.
Dates fill up fast, so call or email today.
