Amazing School Science Show Features Electricity & Magnetism

“Mr. Electric”  – Dr. Dennis Regling is charging up students with his

“Hair-Raising Science Show.”

With his Van De Graaf Generator creating thousands of volts of electricity, the sparks are sure to fly.

Dennis also demonstrates Benjamin Franklin’s solution to predicting lightening storms with his Franklin’s Bells. Generating his own lightening storm with the wimshurst generator, Dennis sets the bells to ringing. The students learn about static electricity, lightening and the genius of Ben Franklin while being delighted by the bells.

There is also a tribute to Nikola Tesla, when Dennis brings out his Tesla coil and shares its amazing properties with your group. Tesla’s contributions to modern science are highlighted, also.

“Thank you very much! Everyone really enjoyed the show, I have heard from parents on how their children came home very excited about what they saw and learned! Hopefully we can connect for another assembly in the future!” Trisha Wilson, M. Ed., Grade 2 Teacher, Maurice A. Donahue Elementary School, Holyoke, MA
Several demonstrations with magnets, eddy currents and a powerful electric magnet help round out the show with mystery and comedy.

This show encourages pupils to develop their knowledge and understanding of conductors and insulators, static electricity, circuits and electricity generation. Pupils participate in interactive demos and challenges to reinforce how electricity is used in the real world. Safety is also stressed throughout the show.

Grades K-12 will enjoy the program, as Dr. Regling gears his presentations to the audience grade levels. But don’t be surprised if your teachers have more fun than the students.
