Roane County schools had a science day as part of the National Remake Learning Day.
I was blessed to be the final event of a full day of science for the 6th graders from a couple schools.
The students spent the day moving from activity to activity learning about science. They cooked their lunch (hotdogs and s’mores) over an open fire.
At the end of the day, the WV Raptor Association presented a lecture on birds of prey in WV. They brought several birds with them. The students loved it!
Then I finished their day with my “Magic of Science” show. After a full day of activity and a 30 minute bird lecture, they were still attentive and engaged.
