{"id":123,"date":"2015-06-02T09:55:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-02T09:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicscientist.com\/2015\/06\/easy-slime-polymer-science-experiment"},"modified":"2015-06-02T09:55:00","modified_gmt":"2015-06-02T09:55:00","slug":"easy-slime-polymer-science-experiment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/puppetbuildingworld.com\/magicscientist\/?p=123","title":{"rendered":"Easy Slime Polymer Science Experiment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Slime Fun \u2013 The Easy Way<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong><\/strong>WARNING: You may get excited about science.<br \/> There are so many ways to  make slime.&nbsp; With this one you won\u2019t need   to go in search of crazy chemicals, you probably already have  everything that  you need.&nbsp; <br \/>    <strong> <\/strong><br \/>  <strong>What do I need?<\/strong><br \/><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"float-right\" height=\"170\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.sublimescience.com\/images\/how%20to%20make%20slime%201.jpg?resize=227%2C170\" width=\"227\" \/> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food Coloring<\/li>\n<li>Cornflour  (&#8220;normal&#8221; flour won&#8217;t do the trick) <\/li>\n<li>2 Cups<\/li>\n<li>Spoon<\/li>\n<li>Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How do I do it?<\/strong><br \/>  <strong> <\/strong><br \/>  <strong><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"float-right\" height=\"160\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.sublimescience.com\/images\/how%20to%20make%20slime%202.jpg?resize=213%2C160\" width=\"213\" \/>&nbsp;<\/strong><br \/><strong>STEP 1 <\/strong>\u2013 Add a few drops of food coloring  to half a cup of water (real slime is always green!)<br \/> <strong>STEP 2<\/strong> \u2013 Fill another cup one quarter of  the way with corn flour<br \/> <strong>STEP 3<\/strong> \u2013 SLOWLY! &nbsp;Add a few drops of the water at a time to the  cornflour and mix it all together with your hand. <br \/> <strong>STEP 4<\/strong> \u2013 Keep adding a few drops at a time,  then  stirring the slime untilyou get a slimey mess!&nbsp; If you add too much  water you\u2019ll get  something too watery! &nbsp;If that happens  add some more  cornflour.&nbsp; <br \/> <strong>STEP 5 \u2013 Enjoy your slime!<\/strong><br \/><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"science for students\" class=\"float-right\" height=\"249\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.sublimescience.com\/images\/how%20to%20make%20slime%203.jpg?resize=187%2C249\" title=\"slime experiment\" width=\"187\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s going on?<\/strong><br \/>   The beautiful slime is  known as a \u201cNon-Newtonian fluid\u201d.&nbsp; That   just means it\u2019s not really a liquid or a solid (it\u2019s kind of both and  kind of  neither).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> <strong>More Fun Please! &#8211;&nbsp;  Experiment like a real scientist!<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experiment with  your slime.&nbsp; Try prodding it with your  finger  quickly and it will feel hard like a solid or if you pour it across your   hands slowly it will feel like a liquid.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li>Try making different  coloured slimes.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li>Try and make the  \u2018perfect slime\u2019 with different amounts of water!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Slime Fun \u2013 The Easy Way WARNING: You may get excited about science.
