The most stripped down <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencealert.com.au\/features\/20141105-25500-2.html\">explanation<\/a> of the law is that when a current is induced in a conductor, a magnetic  field is generated that opposes the action that produces the current.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>In other words, the magnet induced a current in the copper pipe, which in  turn produced a magnetic field.
