This is is my 3 piece pattern for a simple Muppet-style puppet.
- Print the pattern out on an 81/2″ x 11″ sheet of paper.
- Trace two copies of the top and 1 copy of the chin onto 1/2″ foam.
- Cut out your three pieces.
- Glue the darts together with contact cement or hot glue.
- Glue the circular part of your two top pieces together to create a half-sphere.
- You will need to construct a mouthplate using the pattern below.
- Glue the top of your mouth plate to the inside of one half of your headpiece.
- Glue the bottom of your mouth plate to the inside top (the flat section) of your chin piece.
- Your puppet is now ready for fleece or other covering, neck, body, facial features, etc. Check my videos for instructions on how to do these steps.
Print out the patterns on 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. Actual size patterns.
